Brosnan Statistics
Pierce Brosnan has starred in four James Bond films. This 007 has a clear preference for vodka, which accounts for just under half of his total alcohol consumption:
In his four films, Brosnan averages one drink every 25.45 minutes. In his first three films, Brosnans Bond had very specific tastes: Bollinger champagne, vodka martinis, straight shots of Smirnoff, and an obligatory bourbon on the rocks when meeting with M. With the exception of the very startling scene in Tomorrow Never Dies where he drinks straight vodka, most of Brosnans drinks seem posed or obligatory. This changes with a vengeance in Die Another Day, where his choices rival those of Sean Connery. Like Connery, Brosnan usually drinks alone, or in private settings. In his four films, he consumes only four drinks in public, three of them vodka martinis. He does order a vodka martini in the casino during GoldenEye, but the drink never arrives. The Minister laments the apparent passing of a Bondian tradition, the point in the film when 007 has been captured and is proffered a drink as the villain meticulously details his nefarious plan. This veneer of hospitality was most memorably offered by Dr. No, Auric Goldfinger and Maximillian Largo (in Never Say Never Again). Only once (at the end of The World Is Not Enough), has Brosnan even had a drink during the latter part of a film.
