Moore Statistics
Roger Moore portrayed James Bond in a record seven EON films. His drinking habits, which now seem atypical for the character, are rooted in two realities. Moore did not want to copy his predecessor, and he played 007 during the 1970s and early 80s, a time when cocktails were distinctly out of vogue:
During his seven films, Moore averages one drink every 30.4 minutes, the lowest ratio of any 007 actor. His Bond is definitely a wine and champagne man, accounting for 23 of his total drinks. That means 007 has only six liquor drinks in seven films. Compare that to the 23 consumed by Connery in his seven. Moore does order a bourbon and water in Live and Let Die, but never receives it. Moores three career vodka martinis are equaled by Timothy Dalton in just one film. Also, he never asks for one. All three are ordered or prepared for him.
